My Kingdom

My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my followers would have fought to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here…For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.

Amen. Jesus is Lord…of my heart. Politics is better left to other folks.

I’m not sure that is what Jesus is saying. I’m not sure he’s saying his kingdom is otherworldy…it just comes from another place. It is the Kingdom from heaven, but it affects our lives here and now. He’s got the truth…and everyone who hears it is a part of that kingdom.
